Renting Car in Toronto, Mississauga, Etobicoke, Woodbridge & The GTA

If you’re renting car in Toronto, here are a few tips you should consider:

1. Make sure you have a credit card

Most, if not all rental companies require you to have a credit card before they even consider renting one of their vehicles to you

2. Make sure there is ample room on said credit card

Most rental companies require you-the customer- to leave a security deposit of some sort to cover any extra costs that may be associated with the rental such as; toll route charges, parking tickets etc.

3. Always make sure to inspect the vehicle prior to renting

Look extra hard for major scratches or dents when inspecting because quite simply, you don’t want to pay for something you didn’t do.

4. Always look over what you are signing

It’s really good practice to read what clause or term you are signing. In doing so, you will know the limits of your rental and will greatly cut confusion if in fact, you incur an extra cost.

5. If travelling remember that we drive on the other side of the road

When travelling from Europe or other countries that drive on the left side of the road remember; here in Canada we drive on the right and sit on the left! It takes a bit of time to adjust at first, but once you get it you’ll do great!
